what is Solid State Drive VS Hard Disk Drive

Solid State Drive VS Hard Disk Drive

Hello friends, today we have to differentiate (SSD) Solid State Drive VS Hard Disk Drive(HDD) that is what SSD and HDD do. SSD and HDD are used in the world of technology as a storage device in the computer. We have told you that what is SSD and HDD and how it works, inside the computer.
If you do not know what is SSD and HDD And by clicking on the link below you can get complete information about SSD and HDD.

Solid State Drive and Hard Disk Drive

What is SSD in, you will get all the information related to SSD (Solid State Drive)?

In this link you will get all the information related to the HDD (Hard Disk Drive).

Now we are going to tell you what is the difference between SSD and HDD?

What is the difference in Solid State Drive VS Hard Disk Drive?

Both SSD and HDD are drive, which is used to store documents, data etc. in the computer. SSD (Solid State Drive) is engaged in Apple’s laptop and HDD (Hard Disk Drive) is still in the rest of the Laptop / desktop. But do you know that SSD has a lot of work to do with storage capability compared to HDD. And the cost of SSD is also high.
By the way, both drives work similarly but there is some difference between Solid State Drive VS Hard Disk Drive Which we will tell you about.

Point 1:-Access Time

SSD:- SSD has the speed of reaching 35 to 100 micro / second, which is nearly 100 times faster. This fast access speed means that the program can run faster, which is very important, especially for those programs which use data in a large amount like your operating system.

HDD:- To reach HDD data takes 5000 to 10,000 micro / second.

Point 2: –Price

SSD:- SSD costs more than an HDD, which is why SSD has only some 100 Gigabyte storage in most computers. Desktop computers with SSD can have one or more HDDs for additional storage.

HDD:- HDD is much cheaper than SSD, especially for more than 500 GB drives.

Point 3: – Reliability

SSD:- There are no moving parts in the SSD drive. It uses Flash Memory to store data, which provides better performance and reliability on HDD.

HDD:- HDD has moving parts and magnetic platters.

Point 4: – Capacity

SSD:- Big SSD is actually anything beyond 512GB SSD for most people’s budget, beyond their price limit.

HDD:- Many Terabyte HDDs are available for very reasonable prices.

Point 5:- Power

SSD:- SSD uses less power compared to a standard HDD, which means that over time low power bills and laptops increase battery life.

HDD:-  With all parts and requirements to spin the platters, the HDD uses more power than an SSD.

Point 6:- Noise

SSD:- Due to no moving parts in SSD, SSD does not do any noise.

HDD:- An HDD with Spining Platters and Read / Write Head can sometimes be one of the most noise in your computer.

Point 7: – Size

SSD:- Available in SSD 2.5 “, 1.8” and 1.0 “sizes, and it enhances the computer’s available space, especially desktop or server’s.

HDD:- HDDs are usually 3.5 “and 2.5” in size, for desktops and laptops, there is no option for anything.

Point 8: – Heat

SSD:- There is no running part in SSD and due to the nature of Flash Memory, SSD produces less heat, thereby increasing its age and reliability.

HDD:- Heat increases in moving parts, which is why HDD generates more heat. Heat can damage electronics gradually over time, so the higher the heat, the more likely it is to be damaged.

Point 9: – Magnetism

SSD:- SSD is not affected by Magnetism.

HDD: – Hard Drive magnetism can be erased from an HDD using strong magnet because it relies on writing the bag information.
